Aeronaut # 112400
The Mü-13e (later called Bergfalke I) was designed and built in 1951, at a time when gliding was forbidden in post-war Germany. Egon Scheibe designed the aircraft based on the pre-war Mü-13 design of the Akademische Fliegergruppe München.
With a wingspan of 3.5 meters, the model offers model builders both the pleasure of wooden construction and flying. The wingspan allows for excellent gliding performance on slopes and flat terrain (high start, aero-tow). Nevertheless, thanks to the divided wing and removable horizontal stabilizer, the model is handy and compact enough to be easily transported. The fuselage is built on a pre-punched Depron slipway, thus ensuring absolutely precise assembly. The model's airfoil has been specially developed by Dr. Helmut Quabeck.
