The PBR-5XS was specially developed for indoor flight models. At only 2g, the PBR-5XS is used in models where weight plays a major role. To achieve this, the PBR-5XS was designed without a housing or pin headers, and the board thickness was reduced to the absolute minimum.
The receiver part of the PBR-5XS operates with a chip antenna, which is space-savingly and mechanically robustly integrated on the circuit board. Due to its compact design and chip antenna, the PBR-5XS has a range of over 1000m.
Another special feature is the additional analog measurement input. Here, the drive battery can be connected directly, for example, via the balancer connection. The PBR-5XS measures the voltage of the drive battery (up to 3s / 12.6V) and sends the information directly to the transmitter via telemetry. This allows the drive battery voltage and the BEC voltage of the ESC to be displayed via telemetry.
The power supply from the BEC, all servos, and the voltage measurement of the drive battery are soldered directly onto the circuit board of the PBR-5XS. Afterwards, the receiver is shrink-wrapped with a shrink tube.
