Everyone knows and understands the dangers that LiPo batteries pose. Some have experienced a battery pack catching fire, and everyone knows how dangerous this can be.
The RO-Safety XL is THE protection for LiPo batteries that ACTUALLY WORKS. Developed by Tom Mast, a renowned aerospace engineer and enthusiastic model aircraft pilot. The idea came to him when his house almost went up in flames due to a LiPo fire. The RO-Safety XL is designed so that batteries can be charged and, of course, stored in it.
The charging cables are routed outside through a flame-retardant opening. In the event of a battery fire, the resulting pressure inside can escape to the outside. This happens through the upper ventilation holes, and at the same time, the smoke is filtered so that no harmful substances escape.
Temperatures inside the box can reach up to 800° during a fire. Due to the special insulation of the box, the bottom and side wall will heat up to a maximum of 80°. The escaping gas will not exceed 150°.
