Robbe Rasant Seed, wooden kit, # 2684

This model is a tribute to the legendary Robbe original from the early 70s and has been carefully modernized so as not to destroy the charm and character of the model, but still to meet the increased demands of modern times. As it was then, the new edition is also available in two versions. On the one hand in the classic drive variant for glow plug engines with approx. 3.5ccm, on the other hand for electric drive, but in a more modern version than in 1977 for the current, more powerful brushless drives in conjunction with Lipo battery. Especially the "Speed" version, with its outwardly tapered wing, looks dynamically appealing and underlines the claim of a speed model of its time. Excerpt from the Robbe catalog 1977:
"A model for advanced RC pilots who want to join in airshows without great financial outlay or experience the thrill of "speeding" for their own pleasure. This new edition comes exclusively with packaging in a 70s design!

Note: The model is not an uncompromising high-speed model by today's standards! It comes from a generation many decades ago. However, the flying characteristics are still a guarantee for fast flying today and offer uncomplicated handling in comparison. In addition, the design offers a wide range of applications for modifications and tuning. Not least for this reason, the Rasant was a popular model in the 70s, for example, to install one's own drive variants. Many model builders at that time even installed a 6.5ccm glow plug engine with a resonance pipe. The flight performance was brutal, but required careful and prudent handling in construction and also in flight operation, as the model was not designed for this then as it is today.
