The Ryan STA (= S port T rainer Series A ) is based on a 1936 design by Claude T. Ryan, who also designed the world-famous "Spirit of St. Louis". The Ryan STA is not, as is often assumed, a racing aircraft but a sports aircraft. The original, with 95 or 125 hp, is not particularly lavishly motorized. Nevertheless, the Ryan STA impresses with its sleek appearance and, not least, with its good aerobatic capabilities. The model is designed for electric or internal combustion engines and is an absolute enrichment to the often very boring model aircraft scene.
