The SAITO FG engines are carefully manufactured four-stroke gasoline engines specially designed for model aircraft, combining high performance and durability with low weight.

The engine is based on the FA-220 glow plug engine with some detail changes, featuring a gasoline-compatible carburetor and an electronic ignition system. This allows for high fuel efficiency with lower fuel costs, reduced model contamination, and hand-starting in the normal direction of rotation - no starting tool is required.

Special Features:

• Cylinder and cylinder head are a single component; this design saves weight, prevents distortion, and improves cooling
• The cylinder bore is hard chrome-plated and designed without a liner
• High-silicon aluminum piston with piston ring
• Robust connecting rod forged from high-strength aluminum; due to gasoline operation, the lower connecting rod eye is bushed with phosphor bronze
• High-strength crankshaft made of forged chrome-molybdenum steel
• 2-ball bearing supported camshaft
• Front-mounted, space-saving gearbox and steep cam flanks for optimal filling
• High cylinder efficiency due to hip-roof-shaped combustion chamber
• The exhaust sound corresponds to that of a typical four-stroke single-cylinder engine
• Carburetor specially designed for four-stroke gasoline engines, with a diaphragm pump specifically for this engine
• Electronic battery ignition system for spark plug operation
• Normal two-stroke fuel mixture (e.g., moped or lawnmower)

• 1 feeler gauge 0.1mm for valve clearance adjustment
• 1 wrench for adjustment screw nut
• 3 Saito SP 1 spark plugs
