SAITO FG 21, 20.9cc Petrol 4-Stroke Engine, Aeronaut # 710092

The SAITO FG engines are carefully manufactured petrol four-stroke engines specifically for model aircraft, combining high performance and durability with low weight. The FG21 engine is based on the FA-220 glow plug engine with some detailed modifications, a petrol-compatible carburettor and an electronic ignition system.

This allows for high fuel efficiency with lower fuel costs, as well as less model fouling, and hand-starting in the normal direction of rotation - no starting tool is required.

• Cylinder and cylinder head are one component, this design saves weight, prevents warping and improves cooling.
• The cylinder running surface is hard chrome-plated and designed without a liner
• high-silicon aluminium piston with piston ring
• robust connecting rod forged from high-strength aluminium; due to petrol operation, the lower connecting rod eye is bushed with phosphor bronze
• high-strength crankshaft made of forged chrome-molybdenum steel, double ball-bearing mounted
• camshaft, space-saving front-mounted gearbox and steep cam flanks for optimal filling, high cylinder efficiency due to hip roof-shaped combustion chamber. The exhaust sound corresponds to that of a typical four-stroke single-cylinder engine
• carburettor specially designed for four-stroke petrol engines, with diaphragm pump specifically for this engine, electronic battery ignition system for spark plug operation
• normal two-stroke fuel mixture (e.g. moped or lawnmower)
