Adjustable Cable Rudder Control, 20mm Servo
The cable rudder control is designed for a standard size servo (20 mm) so that it can be screwed to the rear bulkhead of the landing gear. Three M3 screws are required for this (the screws are not included in the scope of delivery, as the length depends on the thickness of the bulkhead), which are screwed through the bulkhead into the T-nuts of the mounting plate.
Via a central cylinder head screw (M4), the unit with the servo can be tilted forwards or backwards. This allows the cables leading to the rudder to be easily tensioned or loosened. This eliminates the need for adjustment via solder sleeves and clevises if the cable is too loose or too tight. Once the cables have been correctly installed, it is possible to react to loose or tight cables in seconds.
The mount can be completely hidden behind the rear landing gear bulkhead. For this, an elongated hole must be made in the bulkhead, through which access to the cylinder head screw is possible. A spring holds the pivotable unit under tension, so the cylinder head screw cannot loosen or move. This maintains the adjustment.
The adjustment travel is 10 mm; if the pivot unit is in the zero position, it can be adjusted 5 mm forwards and 5 mm backwards. This can be influenced by adjusting the cables.
