To ensure that the high torque of modern digital servos is transmitted to the controlled element (e.g., rudder) without play and with smooth operation, this new fork-type servo lever design was developed for extreme loads. The force is transmitted centrally from the servo gearing, and the fork-type design effectively prevents the servo output from twisting. The servo levers are made from highly compressed carbon fiber reinforced plastic. At 300°C and under high pressure, the levers take their shape in hardened stainless steel molds. Since this process has similarities to the manufacture of highly stressed components in large aircraft construction, it was adopted for the production of these servo levers. The result is a high-strength component that can stand up to comparison with duralumin. However, it is lighter and more vibration-resistant. All servo levers are manufactured in Germany on state-of-the-art CNC machines.
