Stratos is a true retro model and is made from components of the original series from the 1980s. The model was voted Model of the Year in 1983.
The model is built entirely from wood. The plans provide for 2-axis control.
Stratos is a lightweight thermal glider that can also be flown very well in light slope lift. The low-drag airfoil and the slender, elegant fuselage shape ensure a flat glide angle at higher flight speeds. Nevertheless, Stratos is not a speed model but a comfortable thermal glider that knows how to use the smallest updrafts.
The kit is aimed at retro enthusiasts who enjoy building models from the 1980s.
The kit contains:
- All parts made of punched or milled wood, small parts, deep-drawn ABS canopy.
