With the STRIKE DLG, your dream of a space-saving model that you can fly practically anywhere comes true. With a little effort, this model can even be brought under 250g. You'll also get fit with this RC-DLG - because a discus launch is an outstanding athletic achievement that should not be underestimated.
The Strike RC-DLG is a great thing for anyone who wants to build models themselves, in the classic construction of balsa, plywood, strips, and a bit of carbon fiber. Construction is simple and progresses quite quickly. The STRIKE DLG may not be an ideal entry-level model for newcomers without prior knowledge, but if you have at least built something from balsa wood and strips before, there should be no problems during assembly. As soon as your STRIKE DLG is ready to fly, you should also be able to master the discus launch without problems - the instruction manual includes a detailed illustrated appendix showing you how to do it.

This kit of a high-performance RC-DLG with a very lightweight all-balsa construction is a perfect project for model builders who want to build a truly good model for hobby flying. The thoughtful design with CNC-cut interlocking parts that fit together like pieces of a puzzle makes building a breeze. The ribs come with assembly tabs that allow the wing (with a hollow profile) to be built directly on a flat work surface.
The front part of the fuselage is a simple box construction. The top and bottom, as well as bulkheads and stringers, are made of plywood. The servo and battery compartment are located in the front part under a removable hatch with magnetic closure. The tail boom is a carbon tube with a light pylon for the horizontal stabilizer. The high-start hook for bungee launching is also included in the kit.
The one-piece wing with the YA0801 profile (modified to the requirements of RC-DLG), has a classic design with CNC-cut balsa ribs, a main spar made of carbon, and a leading edge made of beech wood for high strength at very low weight. The full-span ailerons are controlled by 2 servos mounted in the wing. The wing is attached to the fuselage with a plastic screw. The DLG pin can be mounted on the left wingtip (for right-handers) or on the right wingtip (for left-handers).
The tail unit consists of CNC-cut balsa boards and carbon reinforcements. The elevator and rudder are controlled by servos located in the fuselage, with steel wire pushrods running through the tail boom.
For covering, a heat-shrink film such as lightweight Oralight® or similar can be used.
At least a 4-channel RC system is required to control your STRIKE DLG model. It is advantageous to use a computer transmitter that allows independent adjustment of the aileron servos (differentiation, braking) and the programming of mixers to facilitate the discus launch.
Good 6g servos with a torque of 0.7-0.9 kg.cm are suitable for ailerons, rudder, and elevator.
A 1S LiPo battery with 500-600 mAh is provided for powering the onboard electronics.
