The Thermikus (Latin amicus = friend) is a true thermals friend. The model impresses with excellent flight characteristics on slopes and in flat areas. The aerodynamic design and the large ailerons and flaps allow for a wide dynamic range. With butterfly flap setting, the model lands slowly and controlled. The Thermikus is supplied in ARC version. The construction of the model is limited to the assembly of the main components and is completed in a few hours. The light yet robust, three-piece wing is neatly constructed from high-quality woods and already pre-sanded. The ARC version allows for the implementation of an individual design for the covering. By using transparent Oracover iron-on films, the rib construction creates a beautiful play of colors in the air. The one-piece V-tail in full GRP sandwich construction with pre-hinged rudders is fixed to the fuselage with two screws, making it easy to remove for transport. The white GRP fuselage is CFK-reinforced and closed at the front. In the case of equipment with an electric drive, the fuselage nose is simply cut off.
