UniLog 2 with memory card, SM Modellbau # 3000
UniLog 2 with memory card SM # 3000
The small but powerful UniLog 2 RC data logger and telemetry sensor stores and transmits volts, amps, watts, mAh, Wmin, rpm, °C, individual cells, altitude and vario. Telemetry via 2.4 GHz systems with a return channel is now an integral part of the UniLog 2 and fully integrated.
Currently supported systems are Jeti Duplex, Multiplex M-Link, Futaba FASSTest and Graupner HoTT. The UniLog 2 automatically detects the telemetry system used; no configuration or special firmware is required.
Since an additional barometric (air pressure) altimeter with high resolution is also integrated, a vario function is also realized with the UniLog 2 in telemetry mode. Extensive alarms can also be programmed, which are reported via telemetry through the respective transmitter.
When operating with Multiplex M-Link, all data on the sensor bus is automatically logged by the UniLog 2 and also written to the memory card. This provides an MSB data logger as an added benefit. A micro-SD memory card serves as practically unlimited storage for the UniLog 2. With up to 20 Hz recording rate and the micro SD memory card, almost arbitrarily long recordings with high detail resolution are possible. Data exchange with the PC for evaluation is also incredibly simple. The data is displayed and evaluated using the well-known LogView software (www.logview.info). Thanks to the internal real-time clock with battery, all measured values are always provided with date and time. Another new feature is the possibility of individual cell voltage measurement. A LiPo up to 6s can be connected directly to the UniLog 2 with its balancer plug; the individual voltages are measured and recorded and, of course, also transmitted via telemetry. All measured values of the UniLog 2 can also be viewed live directly via the UniDisplay, and the recorded data can be read from the memory card. All settings and alarms can also be conveniently programmed via the UniDisplay. Whether glider, aerobatic aircraft, helicopter, HLG or slow flyer, the UniLog 2 can be used in almost any area due to its low weight and compact size. Of course, the UniLog 2 is not only suitable for model aircraft. It can also be installed in RC boats, RC cars, etc.
Functions of the UniLog 2:
- complete measurement of electric drives with current, voltage, power, capacity, RPM, and temperature measurement (current, RPM, and temperature sensors are available separately in various versions)
- micro SD memory card for virtually unlimited recording and easy data retrieval
- full telemetry support for Jeti Duplex, Multiplex M-Link, Graupner HoTT, and Futaba telemetry
- internal real-time clock (with battery for at least 10 years)
- all measurements are provided with a genuine timestamp, i.e., date and time
- recording rates from 1 measurement per second (1 Hz) to 20 measurements per second (20 Hz)
- balancer connection for LiPo individual cell measurement up to 6s
- altitude measurement with automatic zeroing after power-on
- current measurement range up to 400 A depending on the connected sensor, voltage up to 60 V
- plug-in current and voltage sensors (making it very small and light when used as a pure altimeter/vario, e.g., in gliders)
- connection for receiver signal (Rx) and signal output to the ESC
- universal connections for external RPM sensor and up to three temperature sensors
- temperature measurement also with PT1000 sensors for an extended measuring range
- connection for SM Speed sensor for measuring flight speeds
- direct connection to the GPS logger possible for data recording in a single file
- recording of all data on the Multiplex Sensor Bus when operating with M-Link
- recording of receiver battery voltage
- automatic power supply via receiver and/or drive battery
- manual recording start via built-in button
- recording start can be set by various conditions
- current status is indicated by three LEDs
- direct viewing of measured values live or recorded with the UniDisplay
- parameter settings possible via PC, UniDisplay, and telemetry
- supported by LogView software www.logview.info
- simple and clear evaluation of measurement results with the help of diagrams on the PC
- free firmware updates possible via memory card
- can be used almost anywhere due to its compact size and low weight
