UniSens-E with XT-60 connector, SM-Modellbau # 3101
UniSens-E with XT-60 Plug Connection SM # 3101
With improved altitude sensor V2 The small, powerful RC telemetry sensor measures and transmits voltage / current / power / capacity / energy / brushless speed / altitude / Vario
The UniSens-E is a pure telemetry sensor specifically for all electric models. It is so small and light, yet so powerful, that it can be used in almost any model. In accordance with SM-Modellbau's philosophy of supporting as many systems as possible, the UniSens-E also speaks the language of Jeti Duplex (EX), Multiplex M-Link, Graupner HoTT, Robbe/Futaba FASSTest, and JR DMSS. The UniSens-E automatically recognizes HoTT telemetry systems upon delivery. When used with Jeti, Multiplex, Futaba, or JR, the telemetry must be set in advance in the settings. To change settings via PC or for firmware updates, a suitable USB interface such as order no. 2550 or an existing USB connection cable from Jeti, Multiplex, or Graupner is required. Please refer to the manual for more information.
Without additional sensors, the UniSens-E can measure the entire drive, including voltage, current, capacity, and even speed. A special feature is that a brushless speed sensor is already permanently installed. To measure the speed, only a small cable connection to one of the three motor phases needs to be made with the included cable. Since a barometric (air pressure) altitude sensor with high resolution is also integrated, a Vario function is also realized with the UniSens-E in addition to altitude measurement. Extensive alarms can also be programmed, which are reported via telemetry through the respective transmitter.
The UniSens-E is available with various plug systems, so that no soldering is usually required. The current measuring range extends symmetrically in both directions. This means that the plug assignment, i.e. whether the battery has a male or female connector on the positive pole, does not matter. The measuring direction is simply set in the setup. All measured values of the UniSens-E can also be viewed live directly via our UniDisplay, and all settings and alarms can be programmed.
Whether glider, aerobatic aircraft, helicopter, HLG or slow flyer, the UniSens-E can be used in almost any area due to its low weight and compact size. Of course, the UniSens-E is not only suitable for model aircraft. It can also be installed in RC boats, RC cars, etc.
With the UniSens-E, you acquire a powerful, universal RC telemetry sensor in all respects, which utilizes the possibilities of modern electronics to be a great help to you as a small helper in dealing with your RC models.
And this is what the UniSens-E can do:
- complete measurement of electric drives with current, voltage, power, capacity, speed, and altitude measurement
- integrated brushless speed sensor
- full telemetry support for Jeti Duplex (EX), PowerBox Core, Multiplex M-Link, Graupner HoTT, Futaba FASSTest S.BUS2, JR DMSS, FrSky, and Spektrum
- altitude measurement with automatic zeroing after power-on, barometric Vario
- current measuring range up to 140 A in both directions, voltage up to 60 V (however, the maximum current carrying capacity of the connectors used must not be exceeded!)
- connection for receiver signal for remote control of certain functions
- direct connection to GPS logger possible for data recording in a file
- measurement of receiver battery voltage
- power supply by receiver
- current status is signaled via LED
- direct viewing of measured values live or recorded with our UniDisplay
- parameter settings possible via PC, UniDisplay, and telemetry
- PC software for settings and updates (SM UniSens-E Tool)
- free firmware updates via PC with our USB interface (order no. 2550) or with existing USB connection cables such as those from Jeti, Multiplex or Graupner (the firmware file can be found here)
- can be used almost anywhere due to its compact size and low weight
Please refer to the operating manual for technical data and the complete range of functions.
Typical wiring examples of the UniSens-E in the model:
1. Altitude measurement only with altitude sensor already integrated in UniSens-E, e.g. in F3B / F3J glider
2. Electric drive measurement
