Like other Zepsus products, the Zepsus Magnetic Switch with BEC "linear voltage regulator" was developed with one goal: no compromises in quality. With this in mind, the best components were selected.
The Magnetic Switch BEC 14A is equipped with a double plug for the receiver to ensure good distribution of load current and higher safety. It surpasses many of its competitors with massive 880µF high-quality ESR stabilization capacitors.
The on-off indicator consists of a super bright LED that is also visible through a GRP fuselage.
A safe and easy way to turn on your model: simply slide the magnet over the BEC.
Four reasons that speak for the Zepsus Magnetic BEC:
- The magnetic switch with BEC features the same known and proven technology as all Zepsus magnetic switches.
- If a servo burns out in flight, the extremely high peak current helps to continue the flight. Other BECs give up, leading to a crash.
- No step-down or step-up converter, no switching noise. This makes the Zepsus Magnetic BEC an extremely low-interference product, which is very important for models with a long range.
- An extremely low dropout voltage provides safety if a battery cell fails and the input voltage suddenly drops below the selected output voltage.

Calculation example for continuous current:
Maximum continuous power dissipation divided by (input voltage - output voltage) = continuous current
2S Lipo nominal voltage 7.4V and output voltage is 5.5V.
8 / (7.4 - 5.5) = 4.2 A
2S LiFePo4 nominal voltage 6.6V and output voltage selection is 5.5V.
8 / (6.6 - 5.5) = 7.3 A
Production test: All BECs were tested with more than 30A burst followed by 7A for 15 seconds before delivery. Standby consumption is controlled and a visual inspection is performed. All tests are carried out with 8V input and 5.5V output.
