These small V2A hinges are suitable, for example, for small fuselage hatches and service flaps on helicopters and jets. They also fit well for small landing gear covers on gliders that are not much larger than M1:4. But of course, our good hinges are also perfectly suited for other retractable landing gears on power planes.

Due to their special geometry, the covers are pushed outwards when opened. This has the advantage that the cutout can be dimensioned more narrowly.
The covers can be removed by simply pulling out the axle (not included).
In addition, they give the cover an authentic appearance with correct function.

Installation instructions

1. The pivot point must be just inside the edge of the flaps. Fix a 2mm (inner diameter) Bowden cable tube on both sides with superglue. The tube should be approximately as long as the cover. The Bowden cable tube will only be cut later.
2. Make sure that the Bowden cable axle tube lies as closely as possible against the fuselage wall. The wall should also not be unnecessarily thick at the hinge points.
3. Glue the tube with thickened resin where the hinge will later be. After curing, mill slots in the tube at the hinge position. Now you can hang the hinges and check if they open wide enough.
4. Please bevel the covers on the hinge side at approx. 45°.
5. Fix the covers with adhesive tape in the bay (closed state).
   Now you can glue the hinges to the covers with thickened resin.
