Kontronik offers the KPG25 gearbox pre-assembled on their FUN 400/480 motors. However, they can also be retrofitted to all motors with a 3.17mm shaft diameter using an adapter flange.
The KPG25 is available with gear ratios of 3.7:1, 4.2:1, and 5.2:1.
The scope of delivery for the gearbox includes the motor pinion, which you must glue onto the shaft with a Loctite adhesive (e.g., 648 or 2701, not included). The bond can be released again with heat, for example, to change the gear ratio. The scope of delivery also includes needle-bearing planetary gears and basic lubrication.
The appropriate adapter flange must be purchased separately when retrofitting a direct drive to a gearbox.
The KPG25 should be used for power outputs up to approx. 400 watts, as a 5mm output shaft is used compared to the KPG27.
