Kontronik offers the KPG27 gearbox pre-assembled on their FUN 500/600 motors. However, they can also be retrofitted to all motors with a 3.17mm shaft diameter using an adapter flange.
The gearbox includes the motor pinion, which must be glued to the shaft by you using a Loctite adhesive (e.g., 648 or 2701, not included). The bond can be released with heat. The scope of delivery also includes needle-bearing planetary gears and basic lubrication.
The matching adapter flange must be purchased separately if a direct drive is subsequently converted to a gearbox.
The KPG27 should be used for power outputs of approximately 400 watts or more, as it uses a 6mm output shaft compared to the KPG25.
